Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Buyer Consultant to execute sourcing strategies in line with overall business objectives and support

category management methodologies.

This role involves processing requisitions of mid to high-level complexity, managing the full contract lifecycle, and collaborating

with cross-functional teams including Legal, Cybersecurity, and Risk Management.

Responsibilities:

Review and process requisitions of mid to high-level complexity, dollar amount, criticality, and priority independently, using RFP or go-to-market strategies.

Proactively seek opportunities to consolidate business requirements to leverage spend and create opportunities for value and cost savings.

Utilize demand management to control and track business unit requirements and internal purchasing operations and eliminate waste.

Collaborate with Project Managers and internal stakeholders to validate Scope of Work content is appropriate and complete.

Lead cross-functional meetings and collaboration activities across multiple stakeholders.

Produce high quality award recommendations, summary documentation, or system reference information for each requisition, ensuring detailed spend information is available for future reference.

Determine how each procurement can contribute to diversity goals.

Draft and distribute RFP documentation in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Partner with stakeholders and legal teams to negotiate contracts in a timely manner, ensuring inclusion of appropriate commercial and operational terms.

Develop recommendations for award based upon agreed upon criteria.

Manage the full contract life cycle, including execution, change management, issue resolution, renewal, and close out.

Monitor contracts on a routine and as-needed basis to confirm goods and services were delivered and priced as planned, ensuring continued compliance to MTA standards, policies, and procedures.

Identify and resolve past-due POs, match exceptions, pricing and freight charge discrepancies.
