Job Description:

• • Software support over all stages of the software development life cycle.
  • System integration and interdepartmental interfacing is required to provide system data and management reports for operating and staff departments and customer
  • information.
  • Design, build and support Oracle DBs using ERwin, TOAD and SQL+ development tools
  • Work closely with applications developers on new development of ColdFusion/Oracle systems
  • Build Stored Procedures, DB Packages, Triggers and Views
  • Provide additional technical assistance with custom development and support activities as directed by the designated MTA Project Manager.
  • Knowledge transfer in the areas of Oracle DBA, Oracle SQL and PL−SQL programming and performance monitoring
  • Assist MTA staff with learning how to develop and implement Oracle SQL and Oracle SP.

Requirements:

• • Proficient and have hands−on experience with Oracle DB release 9i or higher (5+ years’ experience)
  • Proficient and have hands−on experience with ERwin development environment (3+ years’ experience)
  • Must be proficient and have hands−on experience with Oracle P/L SQL (Oracle 8i, or preferable 9i) with 3+ years’ experience
  • Must be experienced with TOAD (Tool for Oracle Application Development) (3+ years’ experience).

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

 

• • Strong experience in Java Programming; stand−alone applications and servlets, Apache Tomcat.
  • Strong experience with Google Web Toolkit (GWT).
  • In−depth knowledge of relational databases MySQL, Oracle and JDBC API.
  • Strong knowledge of developing web programming, HTML, java script, XML.
  • Full knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, shell scripting.
  • Basic understanding of socket level programming, Modbus TCP/IP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate.
